Lparser by Laurens Lapre

Lsystem: A rule-like description of a 3d form which contains descriptions of parts and how they should be assembled together.

This application reads Lsystems and creates 3d forms out of them. The Lsystem is applied to itself a number of times via recursion so that fractal and recursive forms can be created such as plants, trees, and natural looking organic forms. The recursion level can be slowly increased to allow the form to slowly grow and become more complex. Furthermore, this application allows mutations to take place, resulting in descendant forms that can be slightly or even drastically different from their originating forms. Breve by Jon Klein

This application allows you to build simulations of decentralized systems and artificial life that are in 3D. The behavior of the agents in this 3D world can be defined, and you can observe how they interact. Includes physical simulation and collision detection. Cafun by André Homeyer

Cafun is a modeling tool for complex systems. Such complex systems appear in real life in the form of living organisms such as people, animals, and plants as well as in the form of natural processes such as the development of crystals. More Info on this virtual life modeling tool

VRML a useful virtual life toolVRML

Virtual Reality Modeling Language. VRML allows the creation of virtual worlds, creatures, and objects. VRML was designed to be the standard language for 3d interactive simulation within the World Wide Web. Click for more Info
